Within walking distance you will discover the most beautiful sights of Lisbon, the Castelo Sao Jorge, the Sao Vicente monastery or the famous baroque basilica Santa Engracia. For all kinds of purchases, we recommend the Graca quarter with its long shopping street above the apartment, a 10-minute walk away. In 3 minutes on foot you can reach the tram stops of the popular lines 12 and 28 below the apartment. Tram 12 or 28 takes you to Baixa and further to the Chiado / Bairro Alto district in 10-15 minutes.
Twice a week (Tue + Sat) the famous Feira da Ladra flea market takes place around the Santa Engracia Basilica. If you follow the tracks of the historic E28 tram towards the port, after a few minutes you will come across the beautiful Miradouro de Santa Luzia viewpoint. One of the hippest hangouts in town with lots of outdoor spaces. The Alfama offers an authentic encounter with a lively city and its people. The special thing about Lisbon is not the museum-like preparation of old city quarters, but the direct, unadulterated experience of originality in one of Europe's most beautiful cities.
