We loved our time in fantastic Lisbon, so full of interesting and colourful experiences. The apartment was great, well situated for us, although up a steep hill, so if you have mobility issues would be a problem. It was well appointed, with everything that we needed. And very clean. We didn't cook in the apartment as went out, and to be honest managed to eat so many cakes and sweet pastries that we then only needed an evening meal. Graca... up the hill from apartment is a lovely community hub, and we enjoyed coffee and pastries in one of the patisserie's there.
Also large supermarket Pingo doce, got choice of fresh and cooked products, wines etc. The shower was great always hot and powerful, fluffy white towels. Bedroom, although a little tight to maneover around was fine, with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, bed comfy... never experienced 2 duvets on one bed before, but that worked well. Sofa comfy and TVs worked fine, also took some cd's so we could play music. Quiet square, and friendly neighbours, whom I greeted most mornings. Not much sound proofing between flats, so could hear from above and next door, but nothing to interfere with our enjoyment. We found a lovely little restaurant below in alfama called Alfama Cellar, returned 3 times and had great meals...read write ups on Trip Advisor, if you want to try something a little different, with lovely friendly staff give it a go. Below the apartment turn left then right on tram line wine & tapa bar called Loucas de Lisboa, excellent tapa, friendly front of house and good wine and cocktail selection, in lovely comfortable surroundings. We decided to go into Sao Vincente opposite the flat, And it was amazing, you can go onto the roof, and look over at apartment and have a fantastic view over the top of town out to sea. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to Lisbon, as even with a week, there are still places we would like to explore. We wouldn't hesitate to contact you again to stay in one of your flats. Hope you have taken off for Mosteiro Vll that the flat has a washing machine and dish washer, it doesn't have either, didn't bother us, but it might some guests. All in all a great time was had, helped by great flat & city. Thank you Tip...Buy a 24 hr pass for either trams, buses, ferry and metro around €9.55 plus initial 50c for card, unlimited travel over 24hr period, available from machines, excellent value..sit on tram and go around circuit so you see where each direction stops.
