Our fine furnished and equipped Amaro apartment is a cosy and perfect central located apartment only a stone throw away from the historical Palace of Government "Palacio de Sao Bento". This is one of Lisbon's finest old town living districts in the old town. From a French balcony you can enjoy fantastic views of Lisbon old town. We can recommend you for shopping the famous Bairro Alto quarter, located within 10 min. on foot or 5 min. by tram Nr. 28 from the apartment. You have a tram stop directly at Rua de Sao Bento street below the apartment.
Some of Lisbons important sights are within walking distance, Estrela church and park, popular Bairro Alto quarter with it's beautiful Fado houses and nightlife, Chiado and Rossio square. We recommend a visit of the splendid Basilica da Estrela and opposite the botanical garden park "Jardim da Estrela". We lived for years at Lapa quarter and in the afternoon the Estrela park was our favourite place to spend some time with our lovely young daughter. You will reach the park at the end of the street within 1 minute walking distance.
The historical cemetery "Prazeres" at the last stop of tram No. 28 is a must have seen. In the aristocratic neighbourhood you just have old portuguese grocery stores, small cafes, bars and traditional restaurants. Two supermarkets are also recommendable within 3 min. walking distance. The completely and carefully renovated residence is situated on a 4th floor at a 19th century old town house. The house don't has an elevator.
This fine equipped apartment consists of two large bedrooms, a cosy living room, two bathrooms both with small bathtubes, and a totally equipped kitchen with a great view to old gardens. The upper bedroom is accessible via a steep and narrow staircase. The apartment has beautiful old wooden floors and modern double glazed windows. Last not least you can enjoy a French balcony with great views of Lisbon's old town area. Air conditioning in the upper bedroom and a central heating guarantees you a high comfort.
