At this marvellous Cortes II apartment you can enjoy a fantastic private balcony terrace equipped with stylish furniture. From both bedrooms, one with that great balcony, you'll have a fantastic view to the huge Tagus estuary and to a green garden.

The charming apartment is located in a quiet lane at the traditional old town quarter Santa Engracia. Santa Engracia is a still undiscovered cosy and very portuguese old town quarter in Lisbon. You have a lot of small townhouses with private gardens on the backyard. Due to its proximity to the Tagus estuary you can enjoy fantastic views at Santa Engracia quarter to the harbour area and of the huge estuary. Tourists are rare at our neighbourhood. We also live in Santa Engracia and have here our agency office. We like this contemplative neighbourhood very much. You have a lot of tiny stores for all wishes. At our main street Rua Magalhaes you can order always fresh portuguese lunch and dinner at "Senhor Cardoso" for a favourable price. Just opposite Senhor Graciano offers you everything you'll need at his small grocery store. We can recommend you to visit also Museu da Agua at our quarter, the nice Water Museum with an old garden park. The famous baroque cathedral Santa Engracia is easily reachable on foot. At Rua Washington you have the bus stop and within 10 minutes walking distance you'll reach easily the metro and international train station Santa Apolonia.

This splendid apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, a comfortable living and dining-room, two stylish bathrooms, one with a big shower, the other with a bathtub, and a totally equipped kitchen. The highlight is the balcony terrace. On the back you have also a comfortable dinning area with wonderful views of old orange trees. The apartment is furnished with an antique painting and design classics from Mies van der Rohe. The 1920's building is constructed very solidly. So after a careful restauration you can enjoy a modern apartment with a lot of charme and original historic elements.

Upon arrival you receive the apartment key from Mrs. Daiana. Daiana will be waiting for you at the apartment and show you the apartment.

Each further person is charged at 20.00 EUR per night (max. 5 persons). Children up to 9 years of age are charged at 10.00 EUR per night.

When booking we kindly ask you for a deposit. This amount shall constitute the cancellation fee incurring for cancellations within 30 days from the start of the rental period. If you cancel your booking less than 14 days before the beginning of the rental period and we cannot find a substitute, the cancellation fee shall be the complete rental fee.

One-time cleaning fee: 2 persons 40.00 EUR, each further person 10.00 EUR. Towels and bed-linen are provided. Electricity, gas and water are included.

As of January 1st 2019 a tourist tax charged by Lisbon City Council becomes payable upon arrival. It is 2.00 EUR per person (over the age of 13) per night, up to a maximum of 14.00 EUR.

We spent one week in the apartement around New Year 2018/2019. The payment was well organised, and we were met by a nice lady. The apartement is big, modern and well equipped. It has a lovely balcony with river view. Quiet neighbourhood. We talked to some of the neighbourhood, and everybody were really friendly. We would definetely rent this apartement again!

I couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful city to see than Lisbon and a more welcoming apartment than Cortes 2, both of which surpassed my expectations. The city and its surroundings are captivating and the locals are exactly as what they are praised for throughout the world: polite, friendly, hospitable and refined. The apartment I rented made my two-week stay as cozy as it could be. For anyone who wishes to have a relaxing time in Lisbon, I can only recommend Cortes 2: a fully equipped and safe apartment in a quiet area, with a view to the lovely Tagus river from the balcony, and last but not least a host whose hospitability and professionalism safeguards a very pleasant stay in Rua dos Cortes Reais. For all those who are history-hungry and wish to experience a foreign city through the local people, Lisbon stands out for a reason: it has a heart and a soul that is very rare to experience anywhere else. Thank you, Lisboa.

This is a beautiful apartment in a very quiet part of Lisbon. It has been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom (shower and toilet) while there is a separate double bedroom and another separate bathroom (toilet and bath/shower). There were only 2 of us staying so we had plenty of room but it would easily accommodate 4. The kitchen is well equipped and modern. There are 2 eating/dining areas although we only used the one at the back of the flat. There is a balcony which overlooks the street and towards the river Tagus. The flat is located on the edge of the Alfama region, about 30 mins walk from the Baixa downtown centre of Lisbon. Lisbon is hilly but the trams, buses and especially taxis are very cheap and seem to go everywhere. There are also the Tuk Tuks which cost more but are fun. I highly recommend the apartment and Lisbon for a city break or longer holiday.

The first impression we had of the apartment was through Beatriz, who welcomed us with a bag of groceries her grandmother had prepared for us, as well as a handful of useful advise about the neighborhood. We could not have imagined a better start. Then the apartment was very clean, everything we needed was there, as explained on the website. Not much to say except highly recommending it! A piece of advice for future guests: if you plan to take a taxi (for example from the airport), print a map of the neighborhood that includes the street (Rua Cortes Reais), it will be useful to help the driver find the street, since it's quite small.

We can highy recommend this apartment. Its location was great, an easy bus or metro trip into the old town centre. Being away from the busy tourist area gave it real interest and character and it was terrific to be able to shop at the local stores and eat at the local restaurants. The apartment was everything it was shown to be on the website. We did leave a small list of minor suggestions behind for Daina to pass on eg a bottle opener in the kitchen. Daina was very helpful and available if needed.
