The neighbourhood around Cais do Sodré near the apartment has lately become one of the most popular quarters in Lisbon, with the restaured market hall Mercado da Ribeira in its heart. There you can enjoy tasty street food in an international ambience just three minutes on foot from the apartment. The small streets around the apartment also offer you a great variety of restaurants and bars.
If you would like to enjoy dinner in a special atmosphere we recommend you the restaurant Pharmacia with its decoration from old pharmacies. In Rua de Sao Paulo, located below the apartment, there are many typical small cafés and shops. The Bairro Alto quarter offers you a lot of Fado restaurants and other bars to enjoy your evenings.
The wonderful apartment itself is located on a 6th floor (elevator available) of a completely restored old town building. The apartment has been carefully renovated and elegantly decorated with bright colours. It offers you two bedrooms, a modern bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. The open space dining and living room with the southward windows and the stunning view to the Tagus estuary is the best place to relax. At night it can become a bit louder with open windows due to the viewpoint Santa Catarina.
The location of the apartment is perfectly central. Within 5 minutes on foot you will reach Cais do Sodré train station. From there, you can take the tram to the famous Belém quarter or the train to Lisbon's beaches. Many sights of Lisbon are located near the apartment. The famous Bica funicular is around the corner. It only takes you about 5 minutes to reach the main square of the Chiado quarter, Largo de Camoes.
